Kay has been a qualified therapist since 2006 and works for a community agency, St John’s Counselling with individuals and couples from a diverse range of backgrounds. She has also worked in a school environment with teens and has co-created and presented “Enriching Relationship” therapeutic and educational groups.
During her first career in Human Resources management she specialised in assessment and development and became proficient in psychometric testing and supporting executives to realise their personal and professional potential. Moving into the counselling profession was a way of allowing her to deepen her ability to support others in finding the purpose, meaning and connection to enrich their lives.It allowed her to use her strengths of empathy and curiosity about people in the most constructive , healing way.
She integrates a number of modalities and perspectives in her work including Imago Relationship Therapy, CBT, EMDR, Developmental Model of Couples Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, ACT, Ego State & Integral Somatic Psychotherapy.
SE has had a profound impact on the way she not only lives her personal life but how she works with her clients in a safe way and experiencing how clients can transform their internal struggles and conflicts into a state of self awareness, acceptance and growth is continually rewarding.
